Microwave Repair — Book a Visit Today
Microwaves quit in a handful of ways. The plate spins but nothing heats. The door latch sticks. Buttons go dead in one corner of the keypad. Sparks and a burnt smell mean stop using it now. Inside, the usual suspects are the magnetron, the high-voltage diode and capacitor, the door interlock switches, the turntable motor, or a control board that took a hit from a rough power line. A visit starts with unplugging and discharging the high-voltage side, because that part is genuinely dangerous. Then we test components one at a time instead of guessing. Over-the-range units get checked for vent and mounting problems too. Tell us the model and what you hear, and we go from there. Call us.

How it works
- Step 1
Tell us the symptom
Call us or fill out the form. Describe the noise, the smell, the puddle. Brand and model help. We ask a few questions so the van carries the right parts before we ever pull in.
- Step 2
We come find you
Gravel drive, creek crossing, farm lane off a county route — give us a landmark and we'll get there. We text before we head out so nobody sits by the window all day waiting.
- Step 3
Diagnose, then repair
We open the machine, test the part, and show you what failed. You hear the plan before any work starts. Common parts ride with us, so many jobs finish on the same visit.

Guides & troubleshooting
Microwave Repair — quick answers
Is a microwave worth repairing?
Often yes, especially built-in and over-the-range units, since replacing those means cabinet and vent work. Countertop models depend on the part that failed. We tell you what we find and let you decide without pressure either way.
Why does mine spark inside?
Usually the waveguide cover, that small cardboard-looking panel on the wall, has gotten greasy or burnt. Food splatter on the cavity walls can arc too. Stop cooking in it until the cause is found, since arcing damages the magnetron.
Can you fix an over-the-range microwave?
Yes. Those come down off wall brackets and a top bolt, which is a two-person lift. We also look at the vent path and fan while it's open, since grease buildup up there causes overheating complaints.
How long does a repair usually take?
Many are a single visit when the part is a common one. Control boards and magnetrons for older or less common models sometimes need ordering. We give you a realistic idea before anything is ordered.
Should I try opening it myself?
Please don't. The high-voltage capacitor holds a serious charge even unplugged, and it does not care that the cord is out of the wall. That single part is why microwave work belongs with someone carrying the right tools.
Do you work on all brands?
We're independent and service all major brands, countertop and built-in alike. No factory affiliation, which means our advice about repair versus replacement comes from what's inside your unit, not from anybody's sales chart.

Why homeowners call us
- Coal-country water eats machinesHard water and iron leave scale on heaters, valves, and pumps. Dishwashers film over. Washers clog. We see it every week and we clean and replace the parts that mineral buildup actually ruins.
- Old farmhouse wiring, respectedPlenty of homes here run on two-prong outlets and panels older than the appliance. Low voltage and shared circuits cause faults people blame on the machine. We check the power before condemning a board.
- Mike's name on the truckThis is a small workshop, not a call center. The person who answers knows the tech who shows up. If something isn't right after we leave, you call us and reach us directly.
- Independent on every brandWe work on refrigerators, ranges, washers, dryers, dishwashers, and freezers from all major makers. No brand tells us what to recommend. Sometimes the honest answer is that a repair isn't worth doing.
- All major brands, gas & electricWhirlpool, Samsung, LG, GE, Maytag, Bosch, KitchenAid and more — as an independent repair company.
- Straight answersIf it isn't worth repairing, we'll say so — often on the phone.
